Meet Car VS Wild's Ruby, The World's Toughest Jeep

Link from FHM

Discovery ran a 10 week series of Car vs Wild featuring 3 characters:   Bill Wu, a 4x4 fanatic, Gary Humphrey, a retired SF veteran, and Ruby Jeep.  The  series ran a behind the scene feature show and it could be the end of the series. (They started in September 2013. So it must be the end of the series?)

It is a fascinating series about off roading. Some of the amazing things done:  winching up the Ruby up a 45 degree incline to the top of volcano, doing pendulum for the ruby, hanging it from top of the tree, righting up the ruby using winch and pulleys and straps,   lowering the ruby from edge of the cliff using straps, ropes and the winch.  Pretty scary and dangerous stunts? Maneuvers.

The MaxTrax Australian invented vehicle extraction and recovery system

It is more fun with four wheels.

MaxTrax

I again found in the 2009 Australian 4x4 magazine the MaxTrax.  What is MaxTrax?

It is an innovative extraction and recovery device invented by Australian 4WD enthusiasts.  It is a reliable simple but rugged system that you simply insert underneath your vehicle tires, you let your vehicle tires roll over maxtrax, and once you gain traction, you have recovered.  You may not need winching or towing.  Ingenious yeah, Mate?

No need for jacks? or shovels, and you can recover alone using your own vehicles power. It works well in sand, mud and snow too.

Hiclone Engine Performance booster

It is more fun with four wheels.

From Hicloneqld

I came across this ad of hiclone which claims 23% better fuel economy and 15 % more power.  The idea is that the swirling effect created by the device works like a turbo by causing faster air intake.  The device works better if used with hi flow air cleaner like K & N.

Before I made many of this made from:   soft drinks cans, milk and sardines can, and GI sheets.   You have to keep this very clean though.  The difference in performance in actual use is not palpable.  Nothing works better than a turbo.
