There is no snow here in the PHL but it is interesting to watch how a Subaru performs in snow.   Snow is slick and there is practically no traction.  And there is mud or sand underneath.  That doubles or triples the problem for you and your vehicle.  That is why I think, many people in the temperate zones go for 4wd or awd vehicles so that they can drive safely through slippery snow filled roads or plow through snow.
