It is more fun with four wheels.

I bought in Powerbooks an Australia 4x4 magazine which I failed to notice was dated 2009. There are many interesting features there on the UTEs and 4x4,
For instance, I read there that Isuzu dealership there from 38 to 61 in just 6 months. I tried to figure out why.
I saw on a You Tube how a D max beat a jeep, a Land Rover, and a Hummer on going up a steep incline.
The power output is l63 hp and 360 (some report 400 nM of torque) for a 3 liter 4jjc -tc diesel engine. and its SRP is between $30,000 to $40,000.00 vs.
Land Rover Defender 110 with 2.0 liter TD diesel engine with 90 hp and 360 nm priced at $48,990;
Land Rover Freelander with 2.2 LTD diesel engine with 118 hp and 400 nM torque priced at $52,790.
Land Rover Discovery with 2.7 L TDV diesel engine with 140 hp and 445 nM of torque priced at $67,590.
Mitsubishi Triton (Here named Strada) would be priced above $40,000; (/45,000 for the 3 liter variant)
Nissan Patrol cab chassis for 3 lTD would be priced at $49,790.
Toyota Hi lux 3.0 liter variant is very competitive at $41,390 but still above D Max Price. No wonder they are selling a plenty in Australia.
Its cousin Colorado sells for slightly more at $41,390 with Duramax brand engine (same as that of Dmax?)
I used to an officer (Trustee and Secretary) of the Land Rover Club of the Philippines. This site recalls and relives the past 4x4 offroading experiences. About my experience with Range Rover, Defender and the classic. Land Cruisers - series 40 and series 80. Renegade with SD 33 Nissan engine - the best. We now use for daily use a Subaru Forester. | Land Rover | Range Rover | Renegade | 4x4 | Defender 110 | Jeep | CJ2 | CJ3 | CJ8
